The App Use Hub
The Hub is Software Tailor's implementation of the App Use protocol. It discovers every App-Use app running on a machine, brokers them all to a single agent connection, federates across your devices, and gives operators one console to watch, drive, audit, and approve.
One agent · many apps · many devices

What the Hub does
Unified MCP surface
One connection brokers them all. apps.list shows every running and known app; app.call routes any tool to the right instance. The agent never juggles connections.
Discover, launch & stop
The Hub watches for apps as they register, and can launch a known app on demand or stop a running instance — so an agent can bring up exactly the app a task needs.
Operator Console
A desktop console with tabs for the live Spec, a real-time feed of calls, an interactive driver, the audit history, token administration, and the federation cluster view.
Consent mediation
When an app raises a consent prompt for a risky action, the Console surfaces it to the operator, who allows once, allows for the session, or blocks — with the action's details in plain view.
Federation across devices
Cluster a desktop, a laptop, a phone, and a server into one surface. Peers auto-discover on the LAN over mTLS; a bring-your-own encrypted relay reaches devices behind NAT or on cellular.
Enterprise identity & ACLs
Per-tenant and per-tool access rules cap what each caller may do, with operator identity from Microsoft Entra ID and a signed delegation envelope carrying that identity across federated hubs.
Durable history
Opt in to a cross-app, cross-restart timeline of activity — hash-chained per app per day, with per-app retention and size policies, and an admin purge.
SIEM-ready audit export
Stream the federation audit chain to your SIEM over OTLP — at-least-once delivery, dedupe-friendly, so compliance reviews have one source of truth.
Works with existing apps
Any app that implements the App Use surface plugs in — your own software, ours, or anyone's. The Hub doesn't care who wrote the app, only that it speaks the protocol.
Who runs the Hub
Teams that want agents to do real work in real apps — without giving up visibility or control.
- →Automation & QA teams that need agents to exercise desktop apps reproducibly, with a full record of every step.
- →IT & security who must prove what automated agents did, and gate anything sensitive behind a human.
- →Product teams shipping agent features who want their app drivable on day one, across their users' devices.
